Last week our iNNO SED Project partner Albert Scrieciu hosted a group of 7th-grade students from “Elena Cuza” National College, Bucharest at GeoEcoMar for an educational event which was organised as part of the citizen empowerment component of the project.
The overall aim of this event was to encourage awareness and engagement of younger generations in sustainable sediment management, and so the students were given the opportunity to take part in an interactive visit to our laboratories, where they learned about the role of sediments in aquatic ecosystem health, modern analysis techniques, and the importance of scientific research in water protection.

We would like to thank everybody who participated in the event and in particular, the teachers for their collaboration!
