Deltas and Wetlands International Symposium

23rd May 2025
Last week our iNNO SED partner Albert Scrieciu (GeoEcoMar) attended the 32nd edition of the annual “Deltas & Wetlands” International Symposium hosted by the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development in Tulcea, Romania (12-17 May, 2025).

This event brought together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers with a shared commitment to the sustainable management and conservation of wetland ecosystems. The engaging debates and inspiring presentations highlighted both the urgent challenges and the promising innovations in this vital field.

As part of this event, Albert presented a poster on the anthropogenic impact on sediment dynamics in the Danube River Basin, as part of ‘iNNO SED – INNOvative SEDiment management in the Danube River Basin’ project. This poster presentation was delivered alongside his colleagues Daniela Florea and Andrei Toma.
