Summer School in Romania

25th July 2025
Our iNNO SED Project partner Albert Scrieciu along with colleagues from Babeș-Bolyai University and GeoEcoMar,  co-organized and participated in a Summer School in Coronini, Romania (15–20 July 2025), entitled “Assessment and management of water resources in representative Danube sectors”. As part of the summer school agenda, participants had the opportunity to get in volved in a range of field activities conducted both on land (Coronini, Ciucarul Mare) and along the Danube River.

These activities included:
 - Sampling of water and sediments,
 - On-site measurements using advanced instruments such as the LISST-200X and the EXO2 multiparameter sonde,
 - Practical sessions on Moldova Veche Island and interdisciplinary reflections in natural landscapes.

The event aligned with the training and dissemination goals outlined in WP7 – Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation of the Horizon Europe iNNO SED Project, providing students and early-career researchers with hands-on experience in sediment quality assessment, biodiversity and Nature-Based Solutions.

We would like to thank all of the participants who joined our partners at GeoEcomar and colleagues from Babeș-Bolyai University for the weeks activities!
