This month our project partners Sandor Balogh (AquaTerra) and Dr. Zsófia Kovács (OVF) met with participants of the SUNDANCE Project on behalf of iNNO SED, aboard the REXDAN vessel, which was undertaking a mission along the Danube River between July 14th and August 10th, traveling from Galați, Romania, to Vienna, Austria.
Our partners joined the REXDAN vessel and team on their third mission stop in Budapest, Hungary, which was dedicated to addressing the delicate balance between the Danube’s economic and ecological needs.
While aboard the REXDAN research vessel, our partners attended a brief presentation, and were then guided on a tour of the ship where they had the exciting opportunity to explore the various laboratories and infrastructure on board. Discussions at this event focused on the Danube’s hydrology and morphological characteristics, and emphasized the need for coordinated actions along with the possibility of cooperation with iNNO SED in certain targeted areas.
