Participating at the 14th International SedNet Conference from the 6-10th of October, Sándor Baranya from our lead partner Budapest University of Technology and Economics proudly presented iNNO SED and our Associated Regions Funding Call.
This year’s conference theme was “Healthy Sediments: What Are They and How Can They Be Achieved?” and as such: an apt setting for iNNO SED to be showcased.
SedNet is the European Network on Sediments and “aims at incorporating sediment issues and knowledge into European strategies to support the achievement of a good environmental status and to develop new tools for sediment management“, according to the official website. Key to these conferences is the gathering of policymakers, ecologists, engineers, biologists, geologists and other key experts to holistically look at improving sedimentary environments.

Sándor also snapped this lovely picture of the Ebro river crossing through the landscape of the Iberian Peninsula showing beautiful and large high-sinuosity meanders!
