16 September 2026
Over fifty participants from various organisations, institutions and authorities from Europe and beyond met at the 17th Meeting on the Follow-up of the Joint Statement on Guiding Principles for the Development of Inland Navigation and Environmental Protection in the Danube River Basin.

Taking place between the 16-17th of September 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia, representatives met to discuss and share knowledge on matters related to river navigation, water management and environmental measures across the Danube and Sava river basins.

iNNO SED was represented at the meeting by partners from the University of Zagreb (UNIZAG) who weighed in with their efforts on the Drava-Danube confluence. This is a mere two weeks prior to our Croatian partners heading out again to present their work at the nature park Kopački Rit.
The meeting in Zagreb was organised by The International Sava River Basin Commission (ISRBC) along with the Danube Commission (DC) and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR).
